OUT OF SEASON & SUMMER CONDITIONING:
PVHS does not have mandatory out of season and summer conditioning. However, some coaches may choose to operate an outside club program that utilizes PVHS facilities. Participation during the off season is encouraged to condition athletes, develop skills, and reduce the risk of injury so athletes are ready for the high school season of sport. Please note that students participating in these outside club programs must register for the club and sign a waiver of liability provided by the coach for each program.
Palo Verde High School assumes no risk outside the season of sport for these non-school-related activities.
CIF-SDS Bylaw Article XX.1
CIF NO CONTACT PERIOD: Date Range TBD
PVHS Coaches, school personnel, or individuals associated with the school’s team must have no contact in any way, manner, or devise with the school’s students. This 14-day no-contact period provides student athletes with a period of respite during the summer preceding the upcoming school year. This bylaw means no permissible contact is allowed with students, even for outside club coaches who are associated with the PVHS team.
PVUSD NON-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT:
The Palo Verde Unified School District desires to provide a safe school environment that allows all students equal access and opportunities in the district’s academic and other educational support programs, services, and activities.
